The long-cherished Polavaram project has not been completed though the Government of India has given Rs 15,000 crore. Jagan has been promising three capitals while developing not even a single capital - Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Anakapalle: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday went hammer and tongs against the YSRCP Government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy alleging that liquor and sand mafias are calling the shots, derailing progress and pushing the State to a debt trap.
He was speaking at well-attended NDA meetings after he took part in the maiden rally at Chilakaluripet on March 17 soon after the formation of three-party NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh.
With a note of sarcasm, he gave full marks to Jagan Mohan Reddy Government in corruption management and described it as a big zero in fiscal management. "The long-cherished Polavaram project has not been completed though the Government of India has given Rs 15,000 crore. He has been promising three capitals while developing not even a single capital."
While TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh was present along with Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan and BJP State president D Purandeswari at Rajamahendravaram, TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu and NDA MP candidate for Anakapalle CM Ramesh and candidate for Visakhapatnaman M Sribharat attended the Anakapalle meeting.
Stating that the winds of change is blowing in favour of NDA in AP to facilitate formation of double engine governments, Modi promised to put AP on the right track and on the path of rapid development once NDA formed the government after June 4.
He said people in AP are eager to dislodge YSRCP Government and to see formation of a new government by the TDP, the Jana Sena Party and the BJP.
He said the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor, improvement of national highways in various parts of the State improving connectivity to Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada to Hyderabad are in progress. He said most of the schemes funded by the Government of India are being projected as if the State Government has implemented it to give false information to the people. The Prime Minister said in AP, Congress has conceded defeat before the elections and the people have already decided to reject YSRCP due to its failures and nepotism. Modi went all out against the YSRCP a day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah described Jagan Mohan Reddy for high level of corruption in the State.
Modi said, “Vikasit Andhra Pradesh will play a key role in the Viksit Bharat campaign," and felt that Andhra people deserve a higher rate of development and recognition because of their talent in technology and innovation. He said it is unfortunate that the YSRCP Government had failed miserably in providing remunerative prices to the farmers.
Referring to black money worth crores of rupees recovered from a Minister's aide's house in Jharkhand and a Congress MP's house in Odisha, he said even machines were unable to count the huge stacks of currency notes. He said he was consulting legal experts on how to distribute it among the poorer sections from whom it was looted. He said the Opposition indulges in blame games against him and the Enforcement Directorate as he is firm in weeding out corruption and bringing the corrupt to the book.
